What's new

What's the last movie you saw?

Saw a double 'Bill' ;) at the Cinema this weekend. 'Tammy' and 'Lucy'.
Enjoyed both. AA

Just bought the Lord Of The Rings trilogy on BluRay for $22.

Couldn't pass that one up. (WalMart, btw)

Great investment. I do that all the times whenever such deal exists. Normally from local Costco.
Anyway, I'd like to introduce:

Big Bad Wolves, a 2013 Israeli thriller film, certainly is an interesting film. Many critics, but got high rating (7.0). Summary: A series of brutal murders puts the lives of three men on a collision course: The father of the latest victim now out for revenge, a vigilante police detective operating outside the boundaries of law, and the main suspect in the killings - a religious studies teacher arrested and released due to a police blunder.
If anybody watched it, please share your thought.;)

Dinosaurs again:
The Land Before Time - the animated adventure drama film from 1988.

Transformers: Age of Extinction

Compared to the previous movies this was the best. If only Michael Bay would remove more story of the humans and more story for the robotic aliens who gets killed by the one who protected them.

We were having fun watching "Escape Plan" in English, the movie with Stallone and Schwarzenegger, where the latter has to speak German, and funnily enough sounds like he never knew the language but had to learn how to spell the words, and failed. :D

Last edited:
"From Hell", with Johnny Depp, Heather Graham, Ian Holm and Robbie Coltrane.

Last one: Blue Jasmine, Woody Allen's best movie since Sleeper.

Right now, we're working our way through Top of the Lake, a six-episode BBC TV series about a New Zealand detective. Okay, that's a terrible description--it's beautiful, edgy, creepy, engaging, foul-mouthed, well-acted...all at the same time.

If you haven't seen Her yet, add it to your list. A spectacular performance by the versatile Joaquin Phoenix, and a nearly perfect film in every other way as well. I was afraid it would be a scaled-up version of the silly Big Bang Theory "Siri" episode; nope, not even close.

That's good to hear.
I've received the DVD and am planning to watch the movie today. I've only seen the official trailer, but it looks interesting.
