Good choices all. Halloween for me, was very scary in my youth. Alien (all of them), Amityville, The Exorcist, The Shining...... Oh, I can go on and on and on....

The original "House On Haunted Hill" with Vincent Price scared the Tauron out of me when I saw it back in the day.

I remember being scared so badly by an Alfred Hitchcock TV episode I ran crying from the living room as a kid. Somehow I got over it and became a lifelong Hitchcock and horror movie fan.

I can't think of a favorite, but The Ring was certainly one of the most scary movies I've seen.
