Maria-Theresien-Platz, to be exact. Yes, that's it. So I think you're the next to post a challenge. Was my answer to your bonus-question right, or was the picture taken from another building?
Yes, the photo was taken from the observation deck of the Hancock Building in Chicago.

It is. Do you know the name of the place between the two buildings?

Sorry I found the question confusing. Having established that there are two architecturally similar buildings next to each other, it sounded as if you wanted the name of the building shown as well as the one opposite, not the space between.

I'm sorry for the confusing question. I must have chosen the wrong expressions, because you didn't know what I meant.
As scifan's screenshot shows, there's a "place" (German: Platz) between the two buildings, and that's the one I was referring to in my question.

Is it part of the Trajan's Market ruins in Rome? AA Sent from my iPad using iPF
It is Roman, but it is not located in Rome. It is still in use, but not for its original purpose.

It looks like Arena di Verona, a Roman amphitheatre, now famous for opera performances, located in Verona, Italy.

Correct, Johanna. It's one of the most perfectly preserved Roman amphitheatres anywhere.
