It's a floor standing philco I inherited from my grandparents. You can't see it fully, but I even kept the bust of JFK they always displayed in top of it. The challenge is yours Admiral.

My late grandfather had a 1942 Philco AM battery operated "Farm Set". He was a bricklayer by trade - and managed a family farm
with the help of my grandmother. Actually who am I kidding .. She ran the farm. That was in Nova Scotia.

One of his favourite uses for that radio was listening to baseball. And he was a Red Sox fan.

You're right,it's none of the above. The portion of the object that you're looking at is less than an inch long. This object is designed to do one thing and that is to make its mark in life. Here's another photo.
