What's new

What is it?

That looks like the front grille on a car or truck

It's not of the front grille. It's not a car nor is it a truck. However it is part of a means of transport.

Here is some more of the object.

Looks like Ducati to me.

You are on the wrong side of the pond, (EDIT.. For the original manufacturer) Kevin. Here is another view. (Complete with reflections of yours truly and a niece.)

I took these photos at Locks Bottom, south of Bromley, at the start of a May Bank Holiday ride down to Hastings.

Take it away Scifan.

I'm going to have to open it up to any IPF member who wishes to post a challenge. I'll be getting a little ZZZZZZZ.

OK here is my next challenge.

The first part is to fill in the missing words.

Once you have done that, tell me what the object is. It has an historical significance.

-------- marker ----- around ------ placed by the ----------- of the ---- of ------ in the 1860s under the ---- Duties Acts.

The first picture

Hi Semel, that one went far more quickly than I expected.

I was going to reveal clues in stages. Stage 1 a photo showing the Corporation of the City of London shield

Then a grid reference to take you to where it is 51 19 30N. 0 3 47E. Where you should find the word "Boundary"

Then, if no one had it, the final reveal gives the statutory reference

This links to their history etc. http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corp...ure/Local_history_and_heritage/coal_posts.htm

Well done. The challenge is yours
