There was a survey released in Canada this week that remarked upon the number of workers who don't take their full annual leave because they don't feel they can be away from work that long.

I always wonder at people who sacrifice their vacation. Not me. I love my job, but I love vacation, too. I get six weeks, and I'd take more if I could. I've always maxed out my vacation. Work is great, but so is play!

Not only do I take my full 7 weeks of vacation each year, I also take advantage of as many opportunities for Union leave to attend union functions and training as I can.

Not only do I take my full 7 weeks of vacation each year, I also take advantage of as many opportunities for Union leave to attend union functions and training as I can.

My company pays for training and travel to such events, but I go selectively unless I must.

My union pays all lost wages and benefits as a result of attending functions and training on behalf of the union.

Outside on terrace about to get coffee with my early birdie, Miles (has been up since 7:30 after getting to sleep at almost 3AM) who begs me to go on it everyday. Doesn't ask to go on walks just to get on the terrace lol!! Will take him for a nice, quality walk later once I've had a shower and coffee. Hit out here w sun beating down on me. I have sunglasses and pajamas on lol. Good thing wifi works on terraces lol.

Can you carry over your vacation time to the next year, AA? I have about 6 weeks worth of vacation that I will probably carry over. There's a certain number of hours that can be carried over, but once you reach that max, you stop accruing vacation time until you take some time off. I am in the same boat as you,I'll take my birthday off-December 31, and that will be it.
