A month ago I was on call and the phone rang at 02:00. It was work - there was an issue - it wasn't my area of expertise but I knew enough to tape things over until the IT department opened.

Since I normally get up at 02:45 I figured what's the point. I'll get ready - go to work and leave a bit early at the end of my shift.

So there I am - showered, shaved, shirt & tie,
coffee travel mug in hand, coat on, opening the door to leave when up from the depths of reality comes my wife's voice ...

"It's 03:00 where do you think you're going?"

Moi: "Work"

Wife: "It's Saturday"

Moi: "Blush"

I did almost the same thing once. I woke up and looked at my watch, it was 10:30. I normally start work at 11:00. I flew out of bed, was dressed and had my bicycle out of the shed when I noticed it was awfully bright out. It was 10:30am. I start work at 11:00 pm.

Thanks, but I want him to actually wear them out one day. They would have been great on his sunny day walk today. I took the pic when I was going to take him out for the blessing of the animals day a few weeks ago but he wasn't ready to wear them and I didn't not know how to secure them properly on his little face. Both Mommy and four legged son need sunglasses practice.

I'm in the car outside an Asian market while my husband shops, being forced to listen to Vietnamese music blaring into the parking loud via speakers. This is apparently done on purpose, though I can't imagine that tormenting people is a good way to attract biz.

Love Asian markets with all their unusual goods, although I grew up with a lot of it, I still do find some quite bizarre items. I wouldn't like that music blaring either, there's a time and place for everything and that ain't it! ;)

Admiral that is just such a gorgeous photo......he's framed it so well.

Love it!

This eclipse image was uploaded today to NASA HD. It's breathtaking. (Oh - to qualify the post - right now I'm browsing amazing images via the free NASA HD app.) :)

The eclipse was photographed at Ellis Beach, located between Cairns and Port Douglas, Queensland.
The image was taken by astronomer / photographer Alex Cherney. I contacted Mr. Cherney by email and received permission to post this copyrighted image on iPF.
