Yeah someone should find the post from Musclenerd that he posted here a few days ago, he was giving hints all over the place that Comex's iPad was purchased AFTER the initial release..saying "hint Hint" as if he was saying that his has one of the newer firmwares on it

There is no way his iPad2 was on a firmware higher than 4.3. The picture showed his jailbreak the day after the iPad2 was released. 4.3.1 didn't come out till a week after the iPad2 came out..

No. That picture is of Comex's SMASHED IPAD SCREEN. It is NOT the same one you are thinking of. You are mistaken.

I see @i0n1c has tweeted the following in the last hour...

R.I.P. - I just heard Apple killed the ndrv_setspec() integeroverflow and his friends in iOS 5.0b1 - if this is true the untether is dead

This is sad, but not unexpected news. It means (if true) that Apple has finally patched the exploit which @i0n1c used so skillfully to untether all of the recent 4.3.x jailbreaks.

So the job of untethering any future IOS5 jailbreak is going to require a whole new approach / exploit.

I have a feeling that i0nic isnt going to look for any exploits in iOS 5 anymore. If he was still interested in the jailbreak scene, he would have gotten himself a dev account, and see if his exploit is still in iOS 5.
Instead he said something about not getting a dev account, as it would somehow make him sign a contract not to jailbreak...

I wonder if he is even involved with p0sixninja's iPad 2 jailbreak, even though p0sixninja mentioed i0nic in this tweet about support for 4.3.x

YES I saw those tweets and I am VERY VERY excited about this..he already got all of the files..so I hope this is the start of something BIG!! Any idea how everything is progressing..again, thank you for all of your hard work!!!

He was just looking for people with iOS developer accounts to run that program so he could collect the info he needs for all those variations of the iPad2. The code and symbols he needs to use for the jailbreak move around from device to device, and from iOS version to iOS version.

That would be SO awesome if that happened..here's hoping that Comex releases a 4.3.3 jailbreak by the time I receive my iPad 2..Musclenerd, you ROCK thank you for coming here and updating us all
