iPad won't update to iso 4.2

Ok, so i just go t a new iPad, and bought the pages app...come to find out thAt it only works with 4.2. So i clicked the update button and it takes me throughout the agreement preces...but about 5mins into the downloading process it says connection error, check your network. But my wireless is on and working, I'm connected to the main computer, using the same network..so idk why ita not working!? I've tried many many times!
I do have Ethernet so idk if thats playing a role.... Should i just go to a friends and see if it will update there?

This happened to me so I called apple. He said to disable your aniviris software if your using windows. Also windows has it's own firewall so disable that too
