Heh poll is too rigid.
I normally use active posts but turn to the sections when I need to find something specific.

Then I go back through New posts to see what happened while I was going through the first round.

Active Topics are the easiest on the iPad and updates are immediate.

Read an updated post or thread... Tap top of screen to jump back to menus... Tap Active Topics. Rinse repeat.

Yeah I use google reader to keep up w/ the site too.

I always read the subscribed ones first. Then the thread I set up for iPad 2 user in the UK. Then I browse the other forums.
