Quick charge you IPad, IPhone and IPod from any computer with the NEW USB Driver from ASUS.
I've installed it on five computers and it works great!

When installed the USB port will detect if the IPad, IPhone or IPod is connected and provide the power it needs to charge like magic.

Get it here: ASUS Ai Charger - Quick charge your iPod, iPhone and even iPad!

I have a 2007 MacBook Pro which does not charge my iPad. I assume these drivers are windows only?

This i just for ASUS motherboards.
Other manufactures are also putting out updates to allow the USB ports to put out the correct power.

Check your Motherboard manufacturers website for updates.

I've got an Asus motherboard on my Windows box, did a bios update and it now charges iPad through USB. Also noted, their software add says "all motherboards" anyone without an Asus MB,, hurry up and try this,, curious minds want to know...;)

Thanks for the tip!!

I use all Gigabyte boards.

Updated to the latest bios (only do this if you know what you are doing)
Downloaded and installed on-off charge from Gigabyte

It still charges slowly, but surprisingly it actually works on my PC laptop :). I'm wondering if there are any side effects though....PC did seem to start up slower.

I installed it on my newer HP. Didnt prompt for MB type.Worked on my ipad for about 5 secs when I got a blue(memory dump)screen. Happened with every reboot until uninstalled. I'll go with the trickle.
