They've been releasing 4.2 compatable apps for the last week or more. Hopefully we'll see 4.2 for the iPad soon.

There, I fixed it for you! I downloaded the first iOS 4.2 beta on September 16 so it has been over 2 months that Apple has been tweaking it.
