App to select network

Is there any app to select your 3g network more efficiently?
For example when the 3g network becomes low at some places it changes to Edge. I would like to avoid this, by either only continue on the low network or give me a no service instead of going to an EDGE connection.

No (I suppose there may be a jail brake app but I doubt it), it doesn't change because it thinks the edge network is giving you a better connection than 3G but because the 3G signal is no longer viable, so I'm not sure what the app could do, and apple don't allow apps to access the network connection in that way anyway so it would definitely be have to a jail broken app.

Yes has to be a jb app.. Thats why i posted it on the ipad hacking section, but someone moved it here :s
