Where in the World

Scifan asked me to monitor while he's off line.

Here's a fresh clue. If the original owner was keeping up with the Joneses, his neighbour would be Johnson & Johnson.

It's Gamble House in Pasadena, Cal. The building was constructed 1908-09.

The original owners were David & Mary Gamble, of Procter & Gamble Company. The house was used as Dr. Emmett Brown's house in "Back to the future". Nowadays, it is open for public tours.

It's the French Alps. The photograph was taken at Chamonix, from behind a monument erected to "Jacques Balmat" a pioneer of early mountaineering.

The statue represents Balmat and climbing partner Michel Paccard.

It's the largest community (population 130ish) in this geographic location. Climatology data show it to be one of the coldest inhabited places on earth. The average yearly temperature is −16.5 °C (2.3 °F).

It's Grise Fiord in the territory of Nunavit, Canada. It's one of the coldest inhabited places in the world and the northernmost civilian settlement in Canada.
