He was great in Hart To Hart.......

No Stephanie Powers was great in "Hart To Hart." :)

That Wagner was superb in a motion picture titled
"The Mountain" in which he co-starred with Spencer Tracy.

A friend of mine plays golf with Rick Wakeman.......I think he is a great guy but never been overwhelmed by his music, I think wrong place, wrong time for me.

The Archangel

Insanely jealous of your friend. Wow. Thanks for the info. If he ever comes to Alberta, I'll have to invite him to play a round at Cougar Creek. I'll even pay for his round if he lets me get a photograph of us together.

I still have a first (vinyl) pressing of Wakeman's "Journey to the Centre of the Earth."

The first LP I ever bought. That and Awaken (Yes) are probably my favorite examples of Rick's keyboarding skills.

Almost forgot......the music in Phantom of The Opera is just incredible. After seeing the stage show three times (I think) I finally got the Blu Ray of the anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall......it still makes my hair stand on end.

Speaking of Blu Ray's I also got Les Mierables Anniversary Concert at the O2, I have never seen the show but it was an incredible watch.

Funny you should say that.

I'm sorry to say.....but I hate that film, it's probably because I had seen the stage show in advance a few times......but the Blu Ray I referred to above is the one to get, trust me, I'm a doctor (well I'm not really but it's what I tell all the nurses that I meet!).

LOL. Just so long as you don't say it to the patients. I'll have a look for the BluRay next time I'm in HMV. I may be considered geeky, but I love Lloyd-Webber's music, except Cats, which I loathe with a passion.

Jesus Christ Superstar is a personal favourite, i bought a DVD Opera collection in a car boot sale once and really enjoyed them for a change!

If you like his music then that's the one to get.

"Time To Say Goodbye" (solo version) – Sartori (4:06)

It's great.

Thanks, Kevin. I actually have that and a few others, including her work with Andrea Bocelli.

I like a wide variety of music beyond classics and opera. Lots to enjoy in the world. I love online buying, because things have opened up so much, and you can listen to samples in the comfort and leisure of home (or wherever).

I've always like the movie "Amadeus" (have it on DVD) and have enjoyed other content about him and his family. Recently, there have been a couple of history-based fictionalized books about his wife and sister, and I saw a movie about his sister's frustrated musical ambitions and their family life, which I thought was interesting. Hard to tell how much was true, though. There's been interesting speculation about Mozart -- what he might've created vs. what he might not have. Great music, no matter what, though.

I'm also really fond of Chopin.
