Twice a year for 10 years. We'd stop for a meal enroute to Ontario and again on the return trip to Calgary.
And once in a military transport. We were picking up army cadets for an Outward Bound summer school course in Banff Alberta.

My first airplane ride was on a Hercules,from Regina to Victoria for naval reserve training in October 1975.If anyone thinks economy class on an civilian aircraft is basic,they've never spent hours in the back of a military cargo transport.
