This picture is of a type of Peach. The variety is known as a Prunus persicad.

Yes, it is a peach. However the variety is not Prunus persicad. It is, I believe, a new variety. Certainly new to the UK.

I cannot find the latin name. It is known by a common name, which is what I'm after.

That's close enough Scifan. I bought a pack the other day. They are called doughnut Peaches. However a check on Google shows Saturn and Doughnut are the same type. I'm told they are especially tasty. Ours are ripening up.

May I pass you one along with your turn at the challenge?
