What's new

What is it?

Is it a pre-war Aston Martin sports car? Made by Aston Martin?

It's not by Aston Martin. The company went through some changes. Post war, it built this model.

How about a 1936 Jaguar SS 100 Roadster built by SS cars ltd. In 1945 the company changed it's name to Jaguar cars Ltd.

Edit. As you say, the company, Swallow Sidecars? Was renamed Jaguar post war to distance itself from any SS perceived connection.

Thanks,
As I will be offline for the next several hours and will be unable to monitor a challenge,I hereby open the challenge to any IPF member who wishes to post a challenge.

The sun has set and so must I since I rise hours before it. The challenge is open to all iPF members.
Good night.

OK, let the sun rise on my challenge.

This is something a little different. I'm putting up a darkened picture of the object. I will brighten it in stages to help participants along. However, you need to answer one or more of my three questions before the image is brightened.

What is the picture of? I need you to tell me not only what the object is, but what type in general terms.

Which service does it belong to?

Military or civil?

Let's hope the challenge works. :)
