Hi everyone. I have an ipad 2 with 4.3.3 firmware, I already have the blob saved..all of a sudden I was adding some apps to my Ipad and the screen went black and the apple logo appeared..now I try turning it completely off and it wont turn off..I press the power and home button and it will just reboot but its not working..how do I fix this

wait all of a sudden now its booting up..so freakin weird!! I guess I should have just left it alone..damn I was scared there..I guess something did not finish and now it did..phew!!

Edit again: everything seems to be fine now..now THAT was a scare..I had no idea how to restore so thank God everything seems to be Ok now

How to restore iPad [That's not jailbroken!]
1. Connect to iTunes
2. Click restore
If iTunes doesn't recognize the iPad
1. Turn off iPad
2. hold home until a USB cable appears
3. Connect to iTunes
When all goes wrong
1. Go to settings on the iPad
2. Go to restore

Please don't post directions on how to restore an iPad without checking to see if you are addressing a person who has a jail broken iPad.

The directions above, if followed by a person with a jail broke iPad2 and no SHSH blobs saved, would have resulted in a member having to restore to iOS 4.3.5 and thus lose their jail break. Even if they had blobs (for any version of iPad), these instructions would cause problems.

Just a word of caution...

Thanks.

Y'all are missing the point... and I may have helped in that.

Yes, in this post, the OP did state they had their SHSH blobs.

However, in my post, I should have pointed out that, generally and generically, especially in a Hacking sub-forum (read: mainly for jail broken iPad users), "restoring the iPad" is NOT the option you initially start with when you have troubles with the iPad.

And, once the iPad is jail broke, it can cause more troubles than it's worth to try to use the restore function in iTunes. It's best to do DFU mode and then shift/restore...

What I want/wanted to prevent is what the random reader may take from that post: That he/she could restore a jail broken iPad with the iTunes function (if they have troubles) with no consequences.

Better?

Apologies for the confusion. Thanks.
