I like how the devs are constantly hassled for info, then the little clues come just to try and calm down the 'mobs' and maybe have a little fun, then it's all re-interpreted to mean that an iPad 2 jailbreak will be released today. It's all quite funny.

"Sunday is Funday" is an iPhone dev team thing, no? So Comex might make a point of releasing on a Sunday, but I don't think that Joshua has any reason to aim for a Sunday release.

Greenpois0n has been released on Sunday Funday before. Sunday Funday is a whole jailbreak community thing, not just the iPhone Dev Team.

I dont remember how it was for the iPad 1 but how long did it take for jailbreakme.com to be created? I was reading on other boards how jailbreakme is the simplest jailbreak to create so it should be released soon but I don't know the technical part of it

It's the simplest to use for us users, not necessarily the simplest to create or implement.

Jailbreakme wasn't as big for the iPad as it was for the iPhone 4. If you had an iPad on 3.2, you were able to jailbreak with Spir1t, which was created by @comex. Mostly everyone who was waiting for Jailbreakme then, was wanting to jailbreak iOS4 on the iPhone4 and new Bootrom 3GS and 3.2.1 on the iPad.

Jail breaking is most definitely NOT about piracy. It's about enabling iPad users to run non-approved, but *legal* and *paid for* apps on the iPad. Any discussion about piracy on iPad Forum is strictly forbidden and any such posts will be immediately deleted.

Think of jailbreaking as unlocking the device and being able to load whatever you want; not being limited to what Apple says is ok.

This all stems from apples litigation in the 90's against microsofts "monopoly". It is pretty anger some that they would blatanly lock their systems after the stink they put up. No wonder why the us courts are adamant about keeping jbing legal. Goooo court!!!!
