Hints on Triple Entendre

Great game!! Have gone thru most of it without hang-ups. For some reason, I can't seem to get #33. I have read the posts but I have no idea why nothing is clicking. Can anyone give me a push?
 
Regarding level 40, if the answer is truly a geographic one, all I can tell is that latitude and longitude give South Africa, but there do not appear to be any lakes, rivers, or hills with that topology in South Africa.

If the lat/long clue is really an author, or something like that, then similarly, I'm getting nowhere with my searching.

Anyone have any solid clues?
 
Thanks for the PMs on 40. I was able to get it. For those still stuck, I was on the right track with my comment about authors.

Now on to 41... I know what that symbol is and where it comes from. I even got the "close but no cigar", but that's about it.

There is a line in the Pointer Sisters' song "Fire" that will answer what the flags represent.

You're going to have to go more modern, though, in order to eventually get whom the officer's hat represents.
