Hi GT, just had a look at your islands and noticed that you have around 230 million cash and almost Level 24.. My suggession is that if you are going to level up your dragons once you reach level 25, then it is better for you to harvest food now itself as you have enough cash.. Also, it would level you up quicker and you can get the Air shrine and start working on it too.. Because once you reach level 25, all exp that you get by harvesting food will become wasted as we cannot get past lvl 25 for the time being..
But if you are not going to level up your dragons, then ignore my suggession as you dont need to harvest food

I just leveled up and now have the breeding island available. Is this island only for breeding or can other habitats be on it? Is there a solid advantage to using this island vs the cave for breeding? Also - as you get into hybrids is it advisable to get rid of some of the original (earth, fire, tree)? Tree fills up dragon coins so quickly it would seem the merit would be to hold onto them for breeding or just sell them. Last question - what do the plant boosts do for you? Just saw those become available...guess I should get them to be able to level up but what are they for? Hmmmm.

You put up a lot of questions in a single go.. ok, check the answers one by one below..
1. The breeing island is only for breeding
2. Some of us found out that there is no difference in breeding in the cave and island.. You get rares in both.. Breeding cave just helps you to breed twice as fast
3. You can get rid of the originals if you want as you can always buy them.. But you might need them to get some hybrids, they also sometimes help in getting rares.. Tree is a hybrid, so you can hold onto one if you want to try for any combination..
4. The brief explanation about the boost gives you the answer.. Anyway, plant boost increases your plant dragons and its hybrids dragon cash generation rate by 20%. But beware, it also has a negative effect on some dragons. Similarly, every base type has a boost.. It is upto you to work out in a way to place the boosts on the three islands such that you get negative effect on minimal dragons..

Feel free to post any other questions, but i suggest you to go through this thread as you could find answers for most of them already..

Awww, sorry to hear that. I'd still suggest Blazing x Crystal though, even with the risk of getting a Crystal/24 hour breed. I, luckily, didnt get a Crystal in all my attempts and I was pretty certain it was a Rainbow as soon as I got the 48 hour breed time (so I was less anxious, hehe).

aha, of course just after I wrote that my second attempt with trying Blazing x Crystal again (Double Rainbow FTW) has got me a Crystal. BLAH! hahahaha. Oh well.

I admit I had kind of already thought of it vaguely myself (not to grow/harvest any more food now I am on level 24 because there's no 'reward' at level 25 and any XP gets wasted once you reach it) but not as thoroughly or thoughtfully as you and I did not think to suggest it to GT500Girl or anyone else. Well done!

Oohh well good luck :thumbs:, I'll be thinking of you and hoping it's a Moon! (Edited to add -scratch this next part as I'm obviously incapable of reading properly. Sonic x Storm from what I can gather?! Your Suns wont get out of the way of your normal cave, so I'm not 100% sure haha)

Awwwwwwwwwwww, still 24 hours to go to see what my first rare will be. Someone posted he/she got a sun out of scorch and snow, so i guess mine (scorch/ice) could be sun, too.
Anyway Ill be happy about every baby! Main thing is, it will be healthy
After reading here for a while i get the impression that u get rares more often or faster after having the first one, dont u?
