Copper and Scorch

Or maybe Copper and Rain.

Sapphires feature trace amounts of metals like iron, copper, chromium, titanium, and magnesium, so that's why I'm going with Copper(plus it's a 20 hr breed time which you know they like to punish us with) and then rain for the color. My initial guess of scorch is because rubies and sapphires have a lot in common and I was trying not to pick two metal hybrids, but they did two lightning hybrids with peridot, so it may be chrome and copper in the end.

My guess is Chrome+Storm

Because Sapphire is chemically and structurally the same as Ruby - both are varieties of the mineral corundum, so i choose Chrome. And for the Storm, the baby Sapphire looks a little like baby storm.

I didn't choose rain because i think BFS will not use uncommon dragon. But anything is possible so good luck!

My 2nd guess is Iron+Copper, but i will not get any gem for this if this is the winning combo.

I'm thinking maybe iron and copper because sapphires have traces of copper and iron in them.

And because it have the iron dragons legs and body shape without all the sapphires and has the copper dragons head minus the bull horns

The amounts of elements such as iron, titanium, chromium, copper or magnesium can give Sapphire it's corundum blue, yellow, pink, purple, orange or greenish color. Chromium impurities in corundum yield a red tint, and the resultant gemstone is called a ruby. Since this is not red, i think we don't need Chrome anymore.

Okay my LAST and FINAL guess will be Iron+Copper. Disregard my previous guess, anyone can take it if they want.

The intense blue of the sapphire is caused by the addition of titanium and iron to the mineral corundum. and because Iron has 4legs and it's much look like baby Sapphire. The Adult Sapphire looks like Adult Copper.
