The point that I made to GI this week, is that my iPad (and iPhone) automatically changes the time when I travel through overseas' zones to the local time as soon as there's a WiFi signal to it. I don't bother trying to understand how, but it does it and for most apps this is appropriate and right. It resets to home time when I return. I don't know whether this can be manually overridden but why would anyone need to go to this inconvenience for one game?
I'm hoping for some kind of rational explanation from GI before my next trip but I'm not holding my breath for it.

I was thinking earlier of asking a completely random question like 'do you think I should park my car in my neighbours driveway' and see what standard answer they come up with, lol

Lets see. I will update. Maybe we could ask some random questions like the one you said to get a reply appreciating our interest in the game and asking to get back to them if we have any other problem.

Isn't it great how they first irreversibly block our game and then tell us how we could have prevented it. The world upside down

Turn off under settings time and date automatic...i

Another free tip don't put your hand under a jet wash, unless you want to remove a few layers of skin, works well and hurts a lot later.... Still learning at my old age life skills..

All I can think off is you can get software to look at the game data on your ipad a bit like file manager in windows, when I looked at mine I could see all the people pictures I had ever linked too or had been in that list of neighbours your could add ever , it was tempting to delete the ones I can no longer connect too as I reckon that would make them available again , you could also see all the game data if you know what your doing you could most likely modify it... But it would hard work and risky ,maybe some people in the past have done so, so they just use that reply as an default.

I reckon the lines above is code from GI that means go way as you have reached the limit of the no of posts per username, I reckon GI call centre must be worse that the one on bbc tv,to work in.

Keep at it abababababab as I am sure you will eventually wear them down and the game will be changed.

Thanks for the advice about date/ time Fred. It's probably the thing to do when travelling. Having the wrong time on my iPad whilst on holiday is probably acceptable if it avoids further conflict with GI.
I've had the usual update from GI today, who say in effect that my questions are too difficult so they are being referred to the tech people who will get back to me within 5 days. I expect they will then say they have no answer and close the ticket.
Sorry to hear about your jet wash experience. I've never tried this and now will make sure not to. Get well soon.

I dont think i have been getting passengers. I get a few gifts daily but only a couple from the regulars on here. Just checked my recent gifts and only forum member is jim

I dont know what would happen. I had only tried it at home by removing one app from the menu but now that I have played it several times, it has again reappeared. I dont think it means not playing. GI told me that if we close it and then travel and then open it after changing the time, the game is not supposed to be affected.
