Does muting my iPad also mutes my alarm?

It depends on where you turn off the volume, and on the settings on your device.

If you use the side switch for muting your device, it will mute alerts and notifications.
If you turn off the volume with the button/s next to the side switch, this also mutes them.
The volume slider in Control Center doesn't mute them.

Title says it all.

Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I can tell - nothing mutes a set alarm. Not Do Not Disturb, not the physical toggle switch (if that's how you have it set) and not the Mute icon. If the alarm goes off, you WILL hear it. Always.

Yes, you can mute everything else, but know the alarm will sound.

Curious as I am, I set alarms in the Clock app and tried everything I could think of.
Result: nothing mutes an alarm, except for the Volume buttons next to the side switch.
