Buying a used iPad

I need instructions on how to change registration of my ipad as my friends name keeps popping up?
I purchased it from her but am unabe to get on itunes/or use apps as is.

Unfortunately, when you bought your friend's iPad, you did not buy her apps. They do not/can not transfer with the iPad. It's a legality thing - apps belong to the original purchaser.

What you've got to do is restore the iPad to like-new fresh-out-of-the-box and start from the beginning. You do this by plugging it into iTunes and clicking on restore.
