The Duke of York Column in London, England, a monument to Prince Frederick, Duke of York. It's located near where Regent Street meets The Mall. Created in 1834 by Sir Richard Westmacott the column was chiseled from pink granite. It faces northwest, towards the Crimean War Memorial and Piccadilly Circus.

That's right. It's your turn now.

Name this structure, where it's located and something about its history or relevance to the regions culture.

Good luck.

It's the Lodi Mission Arch, Lodi, California. It was originally built to provide a formal entrance to the Tokay Carnival, the first Lodi grape festival. It was built in 1907 and the bear on top was added in about 1910. image-294110802.webp image-2814903290.webpIf this answer is correct, please open the challenge to any member who wishes to participate.

A poetic clue to help in the current challenge.

We must be still and still moving Into another intensity
For a further union, a deeper communion.
Through the dark cold and the empty desolation,
The wave cry, the wind cry, the vast waters
Of the petrel and the porpoise.
