Nobody knows, it is a mystery. What I want to know is why the little white Apple on my iPad/iPod startup screen is cracked. I swear the crack changes from time to time, but I drink.

I have no documentation to back it up but when the iPod first came out it was advertised as a truly personal device, the i in ipod was, in essence, for "my personal music player" . It was perfect for the narcissistic generation that was emerging at about the same time.
