No,it's not a safe deposit box. It makes it possible to leave a place without out making a noise about it.

Isn't it just an internal warehouse style door lock? with a rod that drops to the floor and one extending to the top of the door? Von Duprin are makers of security exit door components, push bars, that sort of thing. I'm assuming it's something along those lines.

No,the item is electrical in nature,operated with a key. It does involve a door,however.
