It's a folding umbrella. We use ours frequently here in the UK.

Again, if I'm right I throw the challenge open to the first comer. I cannot monitor and paint skirting boards. That's beyond my limited miulti tasking skills :D

Sent from my iPad 1 using iPF - Greetings

What is this? What does it depict?

Looks like one of the crowns of Queen Elizabeth with an oak tree growing through the centre, impressed into or raised against a gold background. Might be a logo or icon for a Canadian association or government department? Or a golden jubilee celebratory item.

The item is legal tender.

That helps:-)...a Canadian coin?
But don't know them. Other than in the words of a song "Brother can you spare a dime?"

It's closer to home than that.

Hah, a UK pound?
But can only find 4 around, none of which has the oak. The nearest is a 1989 thistle (?) or dandelion, not sure which.
Can't monitor at the moment so one of the other Brits might come in here ?
One with more dosh, preferably:-)

It is a UK 1 Pound coin from 1987. This one is from a 1987 proof set.
