What's new

What is it?

Could we please keep this thread on the rails? Although it has its own rules for gameplay, It is subject to the same rules as any other iPF thread, that's to say friendly and with due respect for each other.

Reading through the last few posts I have to say that I feel this aspect is getting lost. There are some posts that will be more difficult than others to solve, but they will be balanced by others that are easy.

This has been a very educational thread, and I for one would like to see it continue in the same way, so let's lighten up a bit.

Would the wedding have taken place in Sweden?

Apologies for the delay: my battery gave out & I couldn't get to a power source (as in, I fell over :-( --only bruises. Should really try to stick to softs at this time of day...)

Yes to Sweden.
I was about to hand the challenge to you Scifan anyway as you were almost there.
Over to you.

What is this? Where would you find it?

Looks like a receptacle for discarded smoking materials - cigarette butts, matches etc.

There is one outside our building with the brand name "Butt Stop."

That didn't last very long! That's exactly what it is.

What is this, and what is its purpose?

Is it a bug screen on an air conditioning condenser?

It looks like a metal grid with a thin perforated fabric attached to the back.

Is it, therefore, the front of a speaker cabinet?

Fabric is involved. And sea farers may do better than others, getting it to cooperate.

Does it involve sails?

AdmiralAdama said:
No. But it does involve manipulating the material and the use of knots, to transform it into something useful.

Is this a photo of one of your neckties? Do you use the single or double Windsor knot?
