Indeed, the poor bird is soaked, like this whole country now.

The photo was taken during a day of hardly stopping, heavy rain. She had four babies, all clamouring very noisily & continuously to be fed. It was getting me down just hearing them! She was doing her very best while being soaked through. No sign of Dad. Motherhood par excellence!
