What is it?

How large are the cup and saucer?

The cup is about 1inch high, the saucer about 2 & quarter ins across. To set the timer, you hold the cup or saucer and revolve. When not timing the handle is set to point to the 0.

My sister collects novelty timers & she has many great ones, of all sorts of shapes & sizes. I don't collect them but couldn't resist this which went with the set of cups & saucers we bought. I use the bigger version of this for coffee. Always if I can, rather than a mug. (ref: the Anything Goes thread just now)

I've already read the posts on coffee mugs. I like the Admiral's monkey cup.

What is it? Who made it? What is her name?

So far no luck with visual searches.
Is it a representation of an historical figure?
AA

It's not representative of any particular historical figure, but represents a country. Part of a set.
