We await your challenge.

Big apologies, haven't been able to get my photo ready within the time limit (I'm still struggling with the techs of uploading stuff to the iPad). And I'm due for bed, so won't be awake & around to monitor either.

Please pass the challenge on to----? How about that clever un-named person, not a million miles away, who would have got it streets ahead of me if they had been around & who deserves it much more!!! I'll have another go and if I get the chance, perhaps use the photo later.

iPad3,16GB; PC/Win7; S.GalaxyNote; Dig.artist, I.wolfhound nut, anything-reader, bridge-widow.

Since you didn't ask for brand, model or year, will you be satisfied with; an old monocular, probably WWII, maybe earlier?

Correct, twerppoet.it's a monocular of WWI vintage or older.

Tripod head for a camera.the bubble level is used when leveling the tripod for pan shots.

Yep. This one is an unusual grip style. Nice for quick positioning, though not quite as versatile as the more common heads.

You are going to tell us little more about it aren't you? Just because I was too lazy to search through thousands of images (if I could wiggle out of it) doesn't mean I don't care. ;)

Thanks. :D I probably should have said it before, but I've enjoyed the little bits of history your've been sharing. I'd try to do the same, but most of my junk is just that, junk.
