I'm in the mood for a new gadget or two, but nothing strikes my fancy now. Even as they introduce new stuff, nothing seems magically enough different or better. Spoiled, lol.

I did just order a free Kindle e-ink reader, though, via credit card rewards points. I keep an aged Kindle e-ink on hand in case of emergency (longgggg battery life is great vs. smart phones and tablets), but the e ink on my old Kindle seems to be failing after years.

Went to dinner after getting my husband upgraded to iPhone 5 at Best Buy, as part of this one-day offer:

Best Buy was out of 16GB models, so they ended up upgrading him to a 32GB at the same price.

My sister and nephew just took my dad to do that yesterday too, kaykaykay! He's so excited about it!! My dad is 79 years old and here he is caught up with the Apple bug too!

It's great that your dad is with it enough to enjoy a smart phone. I wish my folks were.

My husband got a white one, because they didn't have black. He doesn't have a big preference for color, so he can live with white. He got the only remaining AT&T iPhone that they had in stock. They had plenty of other carriers'.

I was listening to the radio the other day and they said that it's worth trying local brokers as often they can offer discounts that some of the big companies can't due to their local knowledge.
