Yes. I like Marcia Gay Harden, too. She's a good actress on her own, and they were both wonderful in Pollock.
Shopping online. Looking for a decent pair of noise cancellation headphones. I am tossed between: bose, soul and Audi technics.
Any suggestions would be great from you all. Have a few trips we are taking this year and so will be on the plane for some considerable time!

I have Bose and Shures, which I'm happy with.
For me, fit is really important, so it can be hit or miss even with good-sounding ones. I know Sennheiser is a good brand, for instance, and I once ordered a pair that turned out to be immediately painful to wear. They don't fit my husband, either. Unfortunately, he'd thrown away the packaging they came in, so we still have them. An expensive waste.

It was a toss between both and each had very good reviews on cnet and pcworld. I figured we could try out both and see which one we like and return the other. Who knows, maybe we will keep both brands-we both need a pair, so this may work!

I hope the ones you ordered work well for you and your husband, and that you have lots of fun on your trips.
For earbuds, headphones and earphones, I'm wondering whether down the road something like 3D printers will help. Once 3D printers become cheap and we all have them, maybe manufacturers of headsets could allow people to print out plastic replicas, which you could try on at home for comfort before ordering. You'd still have to judge sound via the real headsets, but at least you wouldn't end up ordering ones that turned out to hurt your ears or head. I imagine high-end manufacturers might take advantage of that.

Yes, I have the same experience with earbuds -- they either keep falling out or they hurt my ears after a short while. I also tried buying these rubber attachments that are suppose to help keep earbuds in (by hooking around the ears), but I must have freaky ears, because they don't fit, either. Another waste.
I'm with you on that--I have wasted quite a bit of money with the earbuds. I must have freaky ears, too!

I don't think your ears are freaky. Same problem here. I've stopped using them.
I suppose they don't build earbuds that fit well. ;-)
