The early morning news stories look grim, property wise. However only 13 people have lost their lives; the toll could have been far worse.

Yes, that's what we saw. I note that Times Square is lit up. I couldn't help but think, shouldn't the advertising hoardings be switched off to reduce the strain on a damaged system.
