updating the ipad

hi guys,

I have looked and couldn't find a post about this...if there is..apologies.

My ipad 1 is running on version 5.1.1
Can it be updated to 6.0.1 or not. I went into Settings etc etc and itunes tells me I have the 'current' version. Is this correct.

That said, having read a lot of messages about problems with 6.0.1 do I want to update.

Sorry, but the iPad1 cannot be upgraded to iOS 6. The current version you have is correct - iOS 5.1.1 is as high as an iPad1 can go.
