Hi all, I am a frequent user of my iPad 1st generation, daughter on new iPad mini, iPod 4th generation, iMac upstairs So I'm fond of apple! Yet feel I'm missing out on lots from not being having real know how to get the best from these - dare I say gadgets.

I'd like guidance on what one cable/adapter I need to connect all of the above products to my TV. I have apple tv in my sitting room but haven't used it for some time. Found that it only worked with itunes opened on my old laptop and couldn't be bothered with that. Knowing Apple, there has to be a better way? Can some one help me on this. I'd prefer keeping it to one cable if possible. Thanks in advance.:)

Afaik it's not possible to connect all your devices with just one cable. iPad mini has a lightning connector, iPad and iPod 30-pin.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

You should be able to connect these devices by AirPlay......your Apple TV may also have updates to be done. I don't know too much about this myself so I've moved your thread to our Help Section where you will receive a better response.
