I just bought a Virgin Mobile mifi2200. It's pay as you go, so no contract. Set up was not too difficult and it works well. Of course, not as fast as the home set up, but good enough for checking email on the go.
LOL-I was just thinking of our conversation on this thread just now. We must have been on the same wave length. Glad to hear that the signal did not fail-I just now loaded the mifi for $20 for my friend. Will give it a go and see how if works for her. I have not tried to use it on more than 1 device, even though it can deliver to up to 5. Not sure how much it would slow down or tax the wifi signal.Well because of a snowstorm, I didn't go out Saturday. But, we took the mifi2200 for a spin this morning. Never lost the signal while moving down the highway.
I have the virgin peel. It is designed for iPod and can be used for two devices. I have used it with ipad and it works fine. It is less expensive than mifi and I will never use more than two devices. It works fine in car.
