Marware eco vue magnet affects iPad?

Ok I was going to buy this [ame="http://www.amazon.com/MARWARE-Eco-Vue-tablet-eco-leather/dp/B003C1CCJG/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1276223269&sr=1-10"]marware eco vue case[/ame] because I have been hearing good things about it. But there is a small magnet in it that holds the stand shut. I have heard that this interferes with the compass and gps. Even though I don't have the 3g version, I am worried that this compass will mess up my favorite application so far: "Star walk" which is basically a planetarium in my hand. I really don't want to buy the case if I have to take it out of the case when I want to use the application.

Do you think it will affect "space walk" app?
