Is my bleeding bad?

It's all down one side of the pad. It is fairly faint, but one bit is slightly worse. Is it worth a 45 minute drive to the apple store. I did try to take a pic, but it was too gainy to see anything

I think it's more relevant to ask whether or not you can live with it. If it bothers you, then by all means, seek a replacement or repair.

I agree, iPads aren't cheap and if you ever did want to sell it that might decrease the value if you want to upgrade to the next iPad.
