What's new

Does the backlight bleeding eventually go away?

I need some suggestions. My iPad has major backlight bleeding issues. I'm not sure if I should wait until the new batches are remedied or should I go ahead and get a replacement now. My fear is that if I wait too long I'll get a refurb. I really don't want to get factory refurbs. If I get a replacement now I probably won't get a refurb but there is a possibility that the replacement will still have bleeding issues. What do you guys think?

Mine had major back light bleeding in all four corners and sides. I finally decided to take into an apple store. I also was having some other issues. The genius said I can only get a replacement once for the back light bleeding issue but since I had other issues he made the replacement claim for the other issues. This way I still had my one replacement claim left for the back light bleeding. Anyway, the replacement was a refurb since it was in brown box. I was worried about getting a refurb and also having the same issue. The replacement turned out to be pretty much perfect with no back light bleeding. So I say go for it get a replacement it will probably be better.
