ipod/pad sync cable

ive been using the cable that came with the ipad for charging on the doce, and for convinence, my ipod cable that is always in my computer for syncing. is there a difference in the cables? just wondering if the ipad cable would be faster, or if there would be a downside to using the wrong device on the wrong cable

That is exactly what I do and it works just fine. Between my wife and me, we have had two Nano's, two iPod Touches and now an iPad. We've got docking cables up the wazoo!

Yup, like 1991-C4 said, iPod, iPad and iPhone cables are the same.

The thing to note is that your iPad will charge faster when plugged into the power adapter. iPad will charge when connected to a computer (most computers, anyway), but very slowly - even though it says that its not charging.
