Hi Devil. Try a forced full hard reboot. Hold down the black button as you would to power-off, but hold it down for ages. Ignore the 'slide to power-off' and keep holding the button.
After it shuts down, restart and see if that helps.

Well, first of all thank you, I tried your way, but doesn't work, is still black. If I Restore factory Settings? All data will disappear, right?

Have a go at resetting your iPad first before trying a restore. Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons, this can take up to 30 seconds before the logo appears, so be patient. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start. Let us know how you go.

I'm glad you have it sorted already. As your iPad is new, it's not a big problem to restore but as time goes on and your apps start building up as well as the myriad of other things you can have on your iPad, it can be a real headache to do. Enjoy!

First thing to try is do a double press of the home button. This will bring up the task bar at the bottom of your screen. Press and hold any app icon until they start to jiggle, a red minus sign will be in the top left corner of all icons. Look for the App Store icon and press the minus sign. This will close the app. Swipe left or right to locate the icon if needed. Tap the screen or press the home button to return to the home screen. Let us know if this fixes your problem. ;)

Sorry blossom I don't think that's going to work. It appears that you cannot close an open app, the icon is not in the task bar when the app is open. Perhaps a reset is the way to go. Not a reset in Settings but a double button reset. You say you tried it but be sure, hold power button and home button continuously until the Apple logo appears then release. After a while your locked wallpaper will appear, slide to unlock and see how things are. Hope this helps. :)
