Except this owner not only can't type, he isn't speaking either. We hope this first year with us, he will begin to learn to speak. Typing will have to come later. So far he likes about a dozen apps. Both infant and some autistic support types. Every month he improves. Other user, me - 61

Sent from my iPad using iPF, still lots room left in 64GB

Retired and 57. I was an old school IT Desktop repair tech before becoming a software management specialist for the IRS.

I will be 68 on my next birthday, which is coming up very soon.....I've been using Apple products since 2005 and love them. I waited in line for the very first iPhone and I waited in line for the very first iPad.....

The beauty of the iPad is that it works so well for so many people, regardless of age. A year and a half ago I had the distinct pleasure of introducing an 85-year-old friend to the iPad and teaching her what she needed to know. She loves her iPad and uses it every day. Computers....nah, they were too intimidating. She took to the iPad like a duck to water.

43 Im a hardcore pc user/builder, make a living on one. I purchased the ipad because I cant stand cruising the net on my phone when out and about, now after using the ipad it has become my choice for cruising the net around the house also. It's so easy just to pick it up and plop down on the couch.

Age is relative. There are some "young" people who are less enthusiastic about technology than my 84 year old aunt.

I'm in my 50s and cannot wait for a self-driving solar powered car.

Maybe I am the oldest with 76 but still enthousiastely working on the iPad. I often wonder how people can do without.

I hate to break this to you, but you are a mere youngster compared to some of our members.....the iPad definitely appears to have opened up computing to a whole new generation of users.
