iPad 2 outer camera question

My camera on the outside stopped working but the one that faces me works. I've been having trouble with it for a while now. It turns pink/ purple then just stops working. I haven't done anything to cause this to happen, I keep it safe from everything. Anyone have a reason why it's acting this way?

If a restart or reset does not fix it, contact Apple. It's probably a hardware problem. You iPad should still be under it's one year hardware warrantee.


Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends you restart the iPad at least once a month.

and then a reset if that does not work.

Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.
