Hi,

I am new to this and will probably do a lot of things wrong but I have good intertions.

I am working with a 6 year old child that has Spinal Atrophy 1, he cannot hold up his body or head and has very limited motion. However, he can direct his chair with a trac ball, but again with very limited motion, but he can move the trac ball.

Is there a way to connect a trac ball to an ipad so that he can play the piano using Piano Pro or anything else.

Thanks for any and all help.

Hi Butterbill--perhaps some of our members that are part of the Business and Education sub forum can help you. I have not come across a device like that.

Does this child have an Occupational or Physical Therapist that is helping him? Perhaps they may be able to assist in his needs, since iPads are readily used in clinical facilities. There's always something in development when it comes to medical assisted technology.

Please let us know...and if I find something I will PM you the information.

Addendum: Bill, please see this link. This is straight from Apple in Education website: http://www.apple.com/education/special-education/

Scroll down and see the link to Assistivewares--that should help you.
