So I see. Sorry I could not help, not being a Tapatalk app user. All I know about it is what other's have mentioned. I do have the Android version on the Nexus 7, but I almost never use that device.

Trophies are given by the site, automatically. Some are based on how many posts you've made, some are for how many Likes or other positive ratings you've received.

Ratings are found under the the + Quote Reply buttons. On a computer hovering your mouse over that area will tell you what they are. On the iPad you just have to know, I guess. I haven't found a way to reveal them; though there was an earlier post, somewhere. The first two, Like and Dislike are fairly obvious.

In order they are: Like, Dislike, Agree, Disagree, Funny, Winner, Informative, Friendly, Useful, Optimistic, Creative, and Old.
