[HELP] my photos got resized to very small size when transferred to ipad

Hello,

Im using ipad 1 with os 4.2.1. I have a problem when transferring photos from my pc to my ipad.
The JPG files im transferring is 5mb in my pc and when they are transferred to ipad, they become around 500kb.
When i try RAW files, the itunes convert them into JPG with 500kb size as well.

Could you please let me know how can i keep the original size of my photos?
